Our Story

Meador Consulting Group, LLC is a boutique-consulting firm that began as one person's vision to make an impact in education and organizations. Our services assist different industries in setting and achieving goals that have an impact on those they serve. While we are here to assist different types of organizations in setting, achieving, and exceeding their goals, our specialty industry is education. The consulting group includes four team members currently.

OUR START

Meador Consulting Group, LLC was established out of a passion to support the growth and improvement of institutions that serve a diverse, often under-served student population. Cherie Meador, Founder and Principal is a first-generation college graduate who shattered the odds in educational success, envisioned the possibilities of helping colleges similar to the ones she attended and worked for, especially those who serve diverse student populations. It is with this diligence and vision that others joined in the mission to support and empower people, programs, and organizations to be preeminent.

Our consultants share in Dr. Meador’s passion to empower leaders and organizations to improve upon their current state and to be the leaders who develop other leaders.

Founder & Principal

Dr. Cherie Meador

Dr. Meador has dedicated 20 years to higher education serving in numerous roles such as faculty, associate dean, dean, vice, president, and associate vice chancellor. She has taught journalism, play writing, speech, English composition, and higher education finance and budgeting in undergraduate and graduate programs.

Dr. Meador has devoted her career to the continuous improvement of programs and institutions. After serving for more than a decade working at minority-serving institutions specifically in a community college system, serving a diverse student and staff population, Dr. Meador knows what truly drive change and continuous improvement within institutions. She is committed to serving and assisting minority-serving institutions, and economically and racially diverse student populations and pulls from her own life experiences.

Dr. Meador has made contributions to one of the largest community college systems in the U.S., that offers liberal arts, career, and technical education in a multi-college setting. She has direct experience in regional and specialized accreditation, having assisted colleges with preparing for comprehensive accreditation and specialized accreditation reviews. Dr. Meador also has direct experience in curriculum development, assessment, evaluation, data management, research, student development, strategic planning, collective bargaining units, faculty development, and tenure.

Associate

Rashaan Meador

Rashaan focuses on various specialty areas such as K-12 program development, program compliance, student development/engagement, and career and technical program development and social media. Rashaan is a content creator and manages social media for a design school. Rashaan has an entrepreneurial background in event planning and a background in media. With over a decade of experience working in event planning and education settings, working directly with faculty, students and community partners, he assists clients with an array of academic and strategic needs.

Rashaan has experience working with youth in the public education sector and philanthropic sector developing and managing programs and opportunities through strategic partnerships in the areas of career exploration, job placement, and skill building. He has experience in developing and teaching curriculum in multiple disciplines and has worked extensively with at-risk youth and diverse learners. In addition, Rashaan has more than a decade of experience in media, marketing and journalism and social media.
