Meador Consulting Group, LLC is a boutique-consulting firm that began as one person's vision to make an impact in education and organizations. Our services assist different industries in setting and achieving goals that have an impact on those they serve. While we are here to assist different types of organizations in setting, achieving, and exceeding their goals, our specialty industry is education. The consulting group includes four team members currently.
OUR START
Meador Consulting Group, LLC was established out of a passion to support the growth and improvement of institutions that serve a diverse, often under-served student population. Cherie Meador, Founder and Principal is a first-generation college graduate who shattered the odds in educational success, envisioned the possibilities of helping colleges similar to the ones she attended and worked for, especially those who serve diverse student populations. It is with this diligence and vision that others joined in the mission to support and empower people, programs, and organizations to be preeminent.
Our consultants share in Dr. Meador’s passion to empower leaders and organizations to improve upon their current state and to be the leaders who develop other leaders.

Founder & Principal
Dr. Cherie Meador
Dr. Cherie Meador brings nearly 25 years of experience partnering with colleges and universities to strengthen programs, improve institutional effectiveness, and support leadership during periods of growth and change. She has served in senior academic and administrative roles including faculty member, associate dean, dean, vice president, and associate vice chancellor, giving her a deep, practical understanding of how institutions operate from the classroom to the cabinet.
As an educator, Dr. Meador has taught across disciplines—including journalism, playwriting, speech, English composition, and higher education finance and budgeting—at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. This broad instructional background informs her ability to bridge academic priorities with financial, operational, and strategic realities.
Dr. Meador’s consulting work is grounded in more than a decade of leadership within minority-serving institutions, particularly in large, multi-college community college systems serving diverse student and employee populations. She understands the structural, cultural, and resource-related challenges these institutions face and is known for helping leaders identify practical, sustainable strategies that drive continuous improvement. Her commitment to equity-centered, student-focused outcomes is informed by both professional expertise and lived experience.
Through her leadership and consulting work, Dr. Meador has contributed to one of the largest community college systems in the United States, supporting liberal arts, career, and technical education across a complex, decentralized environment. She has extensive experience guiding institutions through regional and specialized accreditation processes, including comprehensive self-studies and external reviews. Her areas of expertise include institutional effectiveness, curriculum and program development, assessment and evaluation, data-informed decision-making, strategic planning, faculty development, tenure and collective bargaining processes, and student development.
Through Meador Consulting, Dr. Meador partners with presidents, provosts, senior leadership teams, and faculty to navigate accreditation, strengthen institutional effectiveness, and align mission, strategy, and operations to better serve students and communities.

Rashaan Meador
Rashaan focuses on various specialty areas such as K-12 program development, program compliance, student development/engagement, and career and technical program development and social media. Rashaan is a content creator and manages social media for a design school. Rashaan has an entrepreneurial background in event planning and a background in media. With over a decade of experience working in event planning and education settings, working directly with faculty, students and community partners, he assists clients with an array of academic and strategic needs.
Rashaan has experience working with youth in the public education sector and philanthropic sector developing and managing programs and opportunities through strategic partnerships in the areas of career exploration, job placement, and skill building. He has experience in developing and teaching curriculum in multiple disciplines and has worked extensively with at-risk youth and diverse learners. In addition, Rashaan has more than a decade of experience in media, marketing and journalism and social media.
